It's Sunday! Have a good one! I'll be back working on the cover for Jim after church. I'll take a few breaks to read Scott Pilgrim trades, a friend loaned me all six yesterday.

I finished formatting my 32-page The Mesh comic book in time to submit it for Packrat Comics' Mid-Ohio Con contest. The deadline for the contest was Tuesday and I got the proposal finished Tuesday afternoon.

Since then, I've been designing a website for my sister's pizza shop (Frankie's Pizza in Gahanna, Ohio).

Also, I'll be set up with lots of comics and other goodies at the annual Labor Day Lost Weekend Records record swap, in Clintonville, Ohio. I'm drawing a bunch of rock and pop star illos today, to give away free with purchase tomorrow.

Hello, Just a quick note to introduce myself.  I am new to this forum but have so far enjoyed all the interesting comments and post.  Good luck to M. Neno - I hope your labor day event goes well.

As life's aim is to experience new things, I am always looking for ways to improve my skills. Some places of interest for fmla guidelines information, or, insight on mba interviews or if flying is your bag, the private pilot license site is great.

I see you, too. Also, as sleepy and
laid back as you are, CT should suit you fine!

Ohio is a hotbed of activity but it's a little too land-locked for me. Lake Erie - well, it's a fresh-water lake. I'm so used to the smell of the salt water of Puget Sound. Columbus was a nice place to visit.

Chat? Or too much Labor Day Weekend for everyone?

More Drac production tonight. Woo! It's almost done!

Well yeah, but there is so little that goes on here by way of comic con's and pop culture. It's just a pricey suburb of NYC. Okay I'm moving.

Welcome to Dimestore, LWsep10. I didn't sell a lot at the swapmeet - not really the right crowd for it, but Brett Ruland of Spoonful Records introduced me to someone directing a video for Times New Viking's new single, so I may be doing some art for that. Also scored a bunch of vinyl, of course!

There is a lot of cartooning activity in Ohio, on all levels. I'm not sure why that is, but Ohio was instrumental in so many pioneering moments in cartooning history, from the birth of Richard Outcault (The Yellow Kid) in Lancaster in 1863 to Noel Sickles and Milton Caniff revolutionizing the action comic strip while at Ohio State University and the creation of Superman in 1932 in Cleveland, to name just a few examples.
